This summer is flying by, the carefree months will come to an end and soon it will be time for routine and to send the kids back to school! No there is NO excitement in my voice when saying that ;)

Three of our beloved designers will be leaving us today! We defiantly had a lot of fun with these ladies, their talent is outstanding and will be greatly missed!

Another amazing week with a gallery bursting at the seams with the most gorgeous cards imaginable.  This was another special week at 2 Sketches 4 You as we continue our quest to find our newest Design Team member and your cards and enthusiasm did not disappoint.

I had a similar experience to Laura last week about the number of fabulous cards submitted that selecting only 5 for the Fab 5! would be an impossible task, hence this week we will have another Fab 10!

Man oh man is it hot out there or what! Not only is it hot outside but here in 2 Sketches 4 You land the creativity is on fire too!  What fantastic cards graced our gallery last week - so much so that Laura showcased the Fab 10! instead of our usual Fab 5!  She did manage to find one card that stood out just a tad above the rest and received the well deserved honor of Card of the Week.  Congratulations Angie Tieman on a beauty of a card last week and welcome to our Team.  We are excited to work with you and be inspired by your interpretations of our sketches begining August.

Now I know some of you might find this sketch a little challenging.  I must admit I took a moment to think which direction I wanted to take (and it's my own sketch!!!!) but I think you will agree that the Design team did a fantastic job of showing you different methods and styles of interpreting the sketch...

Laura and I have 2 more spots that we would like to fill for our team beginning this August.  One of those positions is going to be filled by the end of this week.  Once again we are sponsoring this weeks Card of the Week winner who will fill the coveted spot as the 5th Design Team member on the 2 Sketches 4 You Design Team.  The 6th spot will be by private invitation sent out to an applicant from our previous call.

Phewwww this week was fun and boy did we have some top notch entries! Thank you to everyone we participated in the chance to be chosen as a new design team member here at 2S4Y! Happy 4th of July!

I hope all my American friends have a fabulous day of celebrating our wonderful country's birthday! I have the day planned with lots of cooking, and spending time with my family. My menu consists of some down home all American favorites. How does Chicken Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Savory Green Chili and Corn Gravy, followed with a homemade Cherry Pie and Vanilla Ice Cream. Yum!
