Kazan Sketch 2

Welcome to our second week of sketches on 2 Sketches 4 You. As mentioned in a previous post Laura and I will alternate posting sketches each week. This weeks sketch is brought to you by Sakura. I have mentioned before that I am a huge fan of Sakura pens, especially the Souffle brand but today I bring to you my new favorite: The 3-D Ink Glaze pen. I used the black glaze pen to make the stitches and dots on this card and it is 3-D and it writes ultra smooth - looove them!

Sakura has a wonderful website that provides you with:
  • Product information
  • Pricing and ordering information
  • Store Locator for your area
  • Gorgeous artwork posted by Artists like Sharon Silver
  • and much more...
Please support this weeks sponsor by visiting them at: www.sakuraofamerica.com

This week we are giving away a fabulous set of Sakura Glaze 3-D Pens to one lucky card maker:
  • Please provide a link to your card by posting it on this thread
  • Deadline for all entries: Saturday June 14 at Midnight (US Mountain time)
  • Your card should be based off the sketch provided and can be of any theme
  • The winning card will be announced as the Card of the Week on Sunday, June 15 here at 2 Sketches 4 You.
  • Our sponsors do have special competitions directed through schools for all minors, we thus request that only persons 18 years and older submit cards for this competition.
  • International Cardmakers are welcome to enter.
Have fun - I can't wait to see all your beautiful work this week.

Cards of the Week & The Gallery

We are sure you all will agree that the gallery is filled to the brim with amazing cards after our first week of sketches. Thank you for creating such beautiful works of art - it is going to be incredibly difficult to pick a Card of the Week every week with such an amazing amount of talent and creativity that stretches across the globe. However, we did manage to decide, with great deliberation, on two Cards of the Week for this week - one for each of our sketches:

Congratulations to:
Carla for designing Card of the Week for Kazan's Sketch 1

Congratulations Carla.
Her card is out for Publication

I loved how Carla interpreted the sketch. Her color combination is beautiful and her stitching is beautiful. Thanks for doing such a great job on my sketch Carla. Visit Carla on her blog to see more of her gorgeous work and pictures: Carla's Blog
:) Kazan

Sarah for designing the Card of the Week for Laura's Sketch 1

All I can say is WOW. This card that Sarah created for my sketch is just beautiful. The colors are soft yet striking, and that gorgeous bow...I'm a sucker for scrumptious bows. Thanks Sarah! You can find more of her amazing talent at: Sarah's blog.

Thank You

We are so thrilled at the tremendous response we have received so far towards our new Sketch Blog. Your comments and work have made our first week a thrill ride to remember!

Announcement: In order for us to announce the Card of the Week on Sunday, may we request that you please have all your cards posted by Saturday midnight (U.S. Mountain Time). Of course you are welcome to send us images of your work any time but please remember that you may not be eligeble for consideration for Card of the Week if we see your work after the deadline.

Welcome To Our New Sketch Blog

We are so excited to introduce our brand new sketch blog to you all. 2 Sketches 4 You is the result of two friends, Kazan and Laura, wanting to combine their creative talents to bring to you a weekly sketch blog. A blog filled with fun, challenges, prizes, sketches and gorgeous cards.

Each Monday one of the sketch artists will post a sketch and give you the opportunity to link your card to that sketch. The Card of the week will be announced on the following Sunday and a link to all the artists cards for that week will also be provided.

The 2 Sketches Team is also excited to announce that within the first week of July they will be looking for a Design Team. Now is your chance to shine. Give us an opportunity to get to know you, drop on in and say hello, link us to your blog and post your cards...You just may be a future 2 Sketches 4 You Designer.

This week we would love you to make a card or two and post it either under Kazan or Laura's sketch. At the end of the week we will highlight the Card of the Week. Next week the challenges for prizes begin.

Have Fun - we can' wait to see your gorgeous work!

Kazan & Laura
