Laura's Sketch 45

I hope everyone had a fabulous, relaxing weekend! Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday, a great day spent with friends and family, eating and watching a little football.
Congratulations to the SAINTS!!!!

This week is going to be a fun yet sobering one, as we say goodbye to three of our design team members, Ashley, Cheryl, and Sankari. Kazan and I were so lucky to have these very beautiful, and talented ladies on our team, thank you!

We want to take a minute and honor and thank our parting designers.

Ashley Cannon Newell is one classy lady. Her poise and confidence emanates throughout out her work and style. It was such a joy to work with you Ashley! Kazan and I look forward to the day when we can meet and talk shop... thats shopping, decorating, and cooking;) *Muah*

Cheryl Nelson is a genuine sweetheart, the kind of lady you feel like you have known your whole life. Her gentle nurturing-big sister like demeanor was so refreshing to work with, along with the amount of talent that just pours out of Cheryl like it's effortless. We ♥ you!

Sankari Wegman is a truly a beautiful person inside and out! Sankari is always bubbly and positive and her work is beyond outstanding, a real talent. Sankari you will go very far in this industry and Kazan and I are so proud we could be a part of it. {{BIG HUGS}}

Card of the Week & Fab 5!

We were all so impressed with the fantastic cards produced this week. For many of you this was your first attempt at a circular card and you rocked it. Sometimes working out of your comfort zone and with a sketch can be a real challenge but I hope you had fun with it and will be inspired to try something like this again.

We would like to extend a hearty thank you to our sponsor this week, KLM Designs for providing us with the beautiful images that the Design Team worked with and of course for sponsoring our Card of the Week. Without further delay here is our winner and the Fab 5!

Card of the Week

Sylvia

Sylvia I loved your card the instant I saw it - then I read your blog post (yes folks we do read your posts!) and I was impressed with the hard work and effort you put into this card - it paid off because this is a mini work of art. I do believe anyone would be honored to receive it and to proudly display it for all too see. Sylvia has a great blog too - check our her work here:

Please email me your details so that I can get your goodies off to you :)

Fab 5!

Tomorrow Laura has a returning sponsor who we love and of course gorgeous examples of her sketch from our Design Team. Have a fantastic Sunday - be safe and warm for those out East!

Kazan's Sketch 45

Today is the first day of February which also means a celebration of a whole month of Love. Valentines Day is only a few weeks away and we know many of you will be making cards for those special people in your lives. This year will be particularly interesting for me because my Kindergartner has a very clear idea of the Valentine favors she would like to give her class and she would like to make them herself of course; to complicate matters her pre-schooler sister would like to have the same! Luckily our next sponsor has perfect images to get us started on any of our projects no matter what the occasion. Working with a ROUND Sketch, KLM Designs provided our Design Team with these adorable images to work with:

Card of the Week & Fab 5!

I am sure most of you are aware that I am in California attending CHA (The Craft and Hobby Association Convention). It is so overwhelmingly amazing and huge, that describing it here could never do it justice. The new products and lines being released by some of our favorite companies over the next few months are so gorgeous and the best part is that we get to see them on your cards very very soon.

I wish I had more time to comment on our own amazing gallery this week but things have been super crazy (in a good way) during this trip. I did manage to see each and every one of your cards even though I may not have commented on them all. Thank you so much to our wonderful sponsor: Starving Artistamps, for their generous sponsorship - we love working with their fantastic assortment of stamps. This week the Card of the Week will win their own set of Starving Artistamps

Card of the Week
Heather

I love this card and it's cheeky simplicity. The balance of color is perfect and so is the hint of texture in the grass. Heather's blog, Witty Title Here, is sooo cute and filled to the brim with tons of inspiration. Heather please email us your addy so that we can get your goodies off to you.

Fab 5!

Thank you for spending part of your week with us. I hope to see some of you right here in Anaheim. Laura will be taking care of you next week with one of the most amazing sponsors - eva!

Chat to you soon

I cannot wait to see the new releases from some of my favorite companies and also to see the latest trends for the new year. Most of all I am looking forward to meeting many of you attending CHA. Please stop by the Spellbinders Booth to say a quick hello if you get a chance :)

This week the 2S4Y DT worked with the uber gorgeous stamps from Starving Artistamps. Most of the time all of the DT cards are very different however this week Sarah and I were on the same wave length and sending each other good karma vibes...see for yourself further down down this post. I hope you enjoy the inspiration we have for you this week and that it gets you in the mood to be super crafty!
