Card of the Week & Fab 5!

Sunday's are alway fun in 2S4Y land as we announce the winner of Card of the Week and the Fab 5!  Keeping that in mind I have a major secret to share with you today.  Over the next few weeks Laura and I will pay special attention to these winners and the gallery in general.  Sometime late October we will host a challenge selecting our newest Design Team members from the Card of the Week winner (note: you read right - we will be looking for more than one designer so we may just have more than one COTW winner!!!!)  We encourage you to play along each week so that we get an idea of your style and of course so we know how much you love our sketches!!!!  LOL.  We will keep you posted on the exact dates but for now I can share that this will all happen before the end of October.

I know you will all agree that the 6 cards we chose this week are all stunners.  I love their interpretations of the sketch and the beautiful manner in which they executed their designs.  We certainly had a fun time with our Starving Artistamps and we know this winner will LOVE her sets....

Card of the Week
Julie

We are huge fans of Julie's work.  This card puts me in the Holiday spirit and fires up my HoHo Mojo.  I  love the way Julie interpreted the sketch and how beautifully well made her card is.  The Colors are fabulously traditional yet the card has a gorgeous contemporary twist with it's bold lines and simplified embellishments.  This is a great opportunity for you to be inspired by her fabulous work and add her blog to your reader

only two things in life are certain...

congrats Julie :) email me your addy and I will get your Starving Artistamps goodies off to you :)

Fab 5!

We hope you all have a very relaxing Sunday spent with those you hold most dear but before you get too cozy or busy with family chores find time for yourself in the craft room :)  See you tomorrow with Laura's new sketch, a new sponsor and fabulous inspiration from our Design Team

Kazan's Sketch 61

Can you feel it?  The cooler nights, a crisper morning air and just an all round shift that comes with the Season's changing.  It is wonderful living in a State that does have defined Seasons - I grew up in South Africa and it seems in our part of the country we had Winter and Summer only.  Leaves have started to change which is always something to look forward to since one of the most favorite pastimes for our family is to visit the Rocky Mountains and see the changing Aspen.   Fall also makes me more adventurous in the kitchen and with my crafting - basically the change from Summer to Winter brings out the homebody in me :) So it was with great enthusiasm that I sat down and played with Starving Artistamps latest sets: Backlit Blooms.  These HUGE stamp sets (about 5.75" tall) can be used as is - to make super jumbo sized cards or like I did, a  framed home decor project.  You can use part of the stamp images to  create smaller or standard cards.  Our Design Team had fun playing with their samples.  Here are their interpretations of the sketch using Starving Artistamps

Guest Designer

Card of the Week & Fab 5!

I am sure you are all wondering where I am :) Well here in the States we are celebrating Labor Day weekend which is our last Hoorah of Summer and this family has been busy - reeeeaally  busy.  I did want to take the time to comment on all your amazing cards so I took a little R&R for myself this morning - sat down with my coffee and laptop and just oogled over the gallery.  This has been my Crafty Spa Day - Wow!  You all know how to rock a sketch.

We loved working Paper Makeup Stamps products and we hope you had a chance to take a look at some of their fabulous creations - Thanks so much for your awesome sponsorship!!

Once again the list of possible winners was a long one but I did manage to narrow it down to the following gals (after a second cuppa)....

Card of the Week
Jaclyn

Imagine attending an elegant dinner with a special person.  Picture leaves changing colors, rich warm flavors and a fireplace crackling in the corner.  Imagine a butler, soft music and romance!  These are all the feelings that Jaclyn's card evokes for me.  Wow!  You know a card is a winner when you can imagine the scene this card was created for.  Take a peek at Jaclyn's Blog because you will love the cards and the photography!!!

Jaclyn please email me your deets so that I can get your goodies off to you :)

Fab 5!
