Kazan's Sketch 60

Kazan used the Wally and sentiment on her Card
We are so excited about welcoming Sherry on board as our Guest Designer in the very near future!  Sherry won Card of the Week with Laura's sketch last week and you all will have an opportunity to see Sherry's take on a sketch using a sponsor's product soon so stay turned.  This week we bring you the first Bonus Sketch from our new team members. As designers on 2 Sketches 4 you, the ladies will design their own sketch and create a card based on that sketch.  They will use the Sponsor of the Week's product for their own creations so you will have an opportunity to see cool cardmaking products used on two different sketches!  The Bonus Sketch is for your enjoyment and creative inspiration. You are not required to make a card based on the Bonus Sketch to be eligible to win COTW, however we would love to see your card so please upload them in the gallery :)

This week the design team all got to play with the super adorable rubber stamps from Paper Makeup Stamps:

Courtney Baker designed this week's Bonus Sketch and Card.  I love how strikingly simple this sketch is with the large solid panel across the middle.  I will give this one a try for sure :) Courtney is a very talented card maker and carries her own line of stamps under the label Practicing Creativity Designs.  Her blog, Practicing Creativity, is filled with a ton of creative ideas and video tutorials - I am sure you will enjoy her work and bubbling personality as much as we do! Card of the Week & Fab 5!

Sunday's we reveal Card of the Week here at 2S4Y which means we have had a week of fun and inspiration in the gallery.  It is so hard picking just one card and the Fab 5!  This week is no exception as we try to narrow down 6 cards from a possible 14 that stood out with just that extra little something.  Putting my finger on what that little extra something is, is not easy.  The cards we select make us go wow! the minute we open your blog page - it may be clean and simple, detailed and shabby or simply so well made that the craftsmanship makes it worthy to be a winner.  Winning, however is only part of the journey.  We greatly appreciate you sharing your talents with us each week and simply just hanging out with us.  This has become a community of friends and that makes us a really fun group of winners - all of us!

Thanks so much to AiFactory for your sponsorship this week.  Your store has a wonderful menagerie of digital images which we will be visiting really soon again.  The lucky winner of the AiFactory gift certificate is:

Card of the Week
Amy

I love cards that make you want to take second, third even forth look.  Cards that look simple at first glance and then you see the details.  Amy's card has all of that and then some.  The large white background forms the perfect backdrop for the pops of color.  Then there are the gorgeous layers, upon layers but just few - not too may - just enough to make you want to come back and look again and again.
Now Ms. Amy has a divine blog with a ton more cards just like this one so take a peeky looky here

Congrats Amy - email me your deets so I can hook you up with that fabby prize!

Kazan's Sketch 59

Doodle Pantry Tweet House

I cannot believe we are in the middle of August already!!!  I had so much planned for myself and my family over the Summer and now it's back to school, fall clothes shopping and believe it or not I saw Christmas decorations in a store!!! Eeeeaaak.  We are heading full steam into Card Making Season.  From now onwards it seems we need a card for something new each week including back to school cards, thank you, birthday, baby, and then not to even mention Halloween, Thanks Giving and Christmas Cards!!! Thank goodness we can gather here every week and catch up on our cardmaking lists.   I needed a card for a friend who is fixing up her home and thought this image would make the perfect tag for her housewarming gift.  That is the beauty of sketches because whether you need a card for Christmas or Baby you can always count on a sketch to provide the basis to build your creation.

This week our Design Team worked with the darling images from AiFactory and this sketch to bring you the following inspiration
