This week is the existing Design Teams final week to post their cards as the 2 Sketches 4 You 2008 Fall Design team. We have immensely enjoyed working with all six of you and want to thank you all for creating such beautiful cards and projects for everyone to enjoy. As our first Design team you have set such an amazing precedent and for that we are so grateful. Good luck with your personal and creative journey's. Laura's Sketch 11







The holiday season is fast approaching us, and the hustle and bustle that comes along with this joyous time of year can lead to a lot stress!
Eliminating stresses is a definite long time gaol in my life. Their are just not enough hours in the day to live them filled with stress.

Some obvious examples of stress in all of our lives are:

• Procrastination: This is common for all of us. And derives from taking on too many commitments. I tend to do well when things are done, and out of the way!

• Difficult/Negative People: This is a hard one since they seem to be everywhere!
They are energy soakers, and huge stressors. Just eliminate them from your life.

• Being Too Busy: Go here go there, cooking, cleaning, kids, deadlines... the list could go on and on!
Stop, slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy your life, take time for the little things that make you happy!

Stress is a response to the daily challenges in life, and unfortunately will always arise somewhere. Simple steps can be taken to lessen this unnecessary evil, like...

• Exercise: One of my favorite de-stressors!

• Eating Healthy: This is so true! Eating light, good for you, healthy foods, puts me in a great mood.

• Smile & Laugh: They are both contagious!

• Creativity: I am always less stressed and one with my qi (chi) when I sit and create!

• Be Positive: There is nothing like the power of positive thinking! Be happy and content.


Now that you are all calmer and less stressed with my sparkling insight LOL,
lets ogle over the stunning creations from our Fantabulous Design Team!

Wow! - we have had another fabulous week of awesome creations. Thank you for posting your beautiful work and providing inspiration to so many crafters out there. We also want to extend a word of thanks to everyone being so supportive of each other and offering such great words of praise. This is really such an awesomely talented community to belong to - I love it!

Kazan's sketch 11




Happy Columbus Day to all our American Crafters - If today is a holiday for you enjoy! This is also a special day for many of our Canadian Card Making friends because today Canada celebrates Canadian Thanksgiving Day. I have a special kinship with Canada because my husband, Kevin, is originally from Calgary and we have family that live all over Canada including Vancouver, Calgary and St. John. Canadians enjoy turkey and other similar traditions like their American Neighbors on this day which is celebrated on the second Monday of October. 2S4Y wishes our Canadian neighbors a Happy Thanksgiving.

Once again our Design Team worked their creative magic to give us their gorgeous ideas on this weeks sketch. As their term draws to an end we begin this week with a search for our new Winter Design Team call. Details to follow at the end of this post. Winter Design Team Call

For those of you patiently waiting here are the details for our Winter Design Team Call:
2s4Y is seeking 6 fun, talented and creative Designers to provide unique and inspiring interpretations of their sketches each week. Previous design team experience is not necessary and this call is open to both U.S. and International card makers.

The new Design Team will make it’s debut as the 2 Sketches 4 You Winter Design Team during the first week of November and run for a period of 3 months.

How to Apply:

Create TWO original cards based on both Kazan and Laura's Sketches. We would love to see one card based on Kazan's Sketch and one card based on Laura's sketch.
